31st Annual Gruene Music and Wine Fest

Gruene Music & Wine Fest

Are you ready for the Gruene Music & Wine Fest? This four-day celebration began in 1986, and its goal was to promote Americana and Texas music. It has grown significantly since then and is now also a celebration of food, beer, wine, and crafts. There will be several artists there, as well as more than 40 wine and food producers.

It will take place from Thursday, Oct. 5–Sunday, Oct. 8, and you’ll have plenty to do the whole time. Make sure you buy your tickets in advance so you know that your spot is reserved.

Thursday

The party begins on Thursday with a wine tasting at The Grapevine from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. This is a great opportunity to wind down from the week and start enjoying what the festival has to offer. There will be some delicious wines up for tasting, so make sure you get a chance to taste them all. Music by Walt Wilkins & The Mystiqueros will set the mood. After that, you can head over to the Gruene Hall for some free tunes with The Georges.

Friday

Friday’s event is called “Rockin’ with Texas Wine & Food,” and that’s just what you’ll get to do. There will be a private show and a meet-and-greet with star Ray Benson, followed by a silent auction, dinner, and wine tasting. During the auction, you have the chance to buy guitars from some big stars, like George Strait, Kevin Costner, Patty Griffin, and more. After that, you can enjoy a tasty meal from Gristmill River Restaurant & Bar. There’s also a concert at 9 p.m. from Asleep at the Wheel at Gruene Hall. Come out to dance and have a great time.

Saturday

Saturday is when things really get started at this event. From noon to 6 p.m., there will be two stages of live music on the Grapevine grounds. Again, delicious food will be served, so make sure you save room for some treats. You can also check out the craft and gift market to pick up a souvenir from the festival.

Sunday

Sunday is the last day of the festival, and a portion of the proceeds from the event will go to United Way of the Coastal Bend, so you can feel good about doing your part to support those in need. From 1 p.m. until 10 p.m., you’ll be able to enjoy music from a variety of artists, including Cory Morrow and Bruce Robison. There will also be a craft beer tasting from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m., so make time to get to that, as well.

You’ll need to prepare for this festival before you go. And what better way to do that than to pick up a new vehicle from Red McCombs Ford in San Antonio, Texas? Come see us today.
