Ripley’s Haunted Adventure

You’re in for a high-tech haunting at Ripley’s Haunted Adventure. This multi-million dollar scary house features both live actors and special effects. The Tomb Rider 3D is an interactive adventure ride and arcade that will spook and shock the entire family. After you survive the special Halloween events, visit the Guinness World Records Museum, found at the same location. At this attraction, you’ll explore 14 themed galleries that bring the famous Guinness book to life. And new this year, Guinness World Record Adjudicators will be present at select times to judge record attempts. You can even get awarded a certificate!

Zoo Boo!

If you’re looking for family-friendly Halloween events, come to Zoo Boo! at the San Antonio Zoo. This event isn’t scary, so you can feel confident about taking your kids no matter what age they are. It happens every weekend from Sept. 30 until Oct. 29. So, you have almost a month to make it to the zoo for trick-or-treating, costume contests, and pumpkin painting, all of which the kids are bound to love. Children are encouraged to wear costumes, but if you’re an adult, you are asked to leave the masks at home.

Bud Light Haunted River

For adults who want to celebrate the season, there is the Bud Light Haunted River Halloween festival. This festival will feature music, a parade, an adult costume contest (for those aged 18 and older), and, of course, plenty of adult beverages. The parade will stretch for two and a half miles in the Downtown River Walk Area, so there will be plenty to do and see. Even better, this event is completely FREE, so you don’t need a bunch of extra cash to attend.

Sisters Grimm Ghost Tours

This is a perfect attraction for those who want to learn more about San Antonio’s history while getting spooked along the way. A Sisters Grimm Ghost Tour will take you around the city on an hour and a half walk, where a guide will point out the most historic and haunted sites in San Antonio. You may not believe in ghosts now, but you might change your mind once you hear about the ghost stories of the past. You can even see if you’ll spot a ghost for yourself.
