Tour De Las Misiones Ride Details

The Tour De Las Misiones Bike Ride and Walk has several events, so you can choose the one that suits you. If you want to visit all of San Antonio’s World Heritage Missions, go on the 22-mile bike ride. You can pack in three of the missions, including The Alamo on the 14-mile bike ride, or visit two missions on the 7 Mile Family Ride.

Then, there is the 5k and 10k walk. It covers two missions. If you decide to ride your bike, you don’t have to worry about being left behind. It is a relaxing ride that averages about 7 miles per hour, so you can enjoy the sights while riding.

You will get a commemorative medal, t-shirt, and goodie bag if you’re one of the first 400 registered participants as long as you complete your registration before August 31. You will also get free food and drinks after the race.

Don’t just eat and drink the free stuff and take off, though. Mission Pachanga will be going on until 5 p.m. at the Mission Park Pavilions. This free arts and culture festival has arts, crafts, food trucks, and live music. It is part of the World Heritage Festival and is a real treat.

About the World Heritage Festival

You might be most interested in the race, but you should also check out the rest of the World Heritage Festival. The festival is put on to celebrate San Antonio’s missions, and it is packed full of events. It begins with a kick-off press conference on Sept. 6 and ends with a celebratory Mass on Sept. 10. In between, you will get to enjoy a sunset picnic, a living heritage symposium, and more. It’s well worth stopping by a time or two, especially if you are interested in history and culture. Both are in large supply at this event. There is also a lot of food, courtesy of food trucks. It’s a great place to go with the family.

You can also take your family to Red McCombs Ford in San Antonio, Texas, before or after the festival. The dealership has vehicles that are perfect for singles, couples, and large families, so it is easy to find something that is right for you. Browse through the available vehicles, take one out for a test drive, and fill out the paperwork. It can be yours today.
