If you’re a music fan living in or visiting the San Antonio area, you’ve got quite a bit to be excited about over the next few months. There’s lots of great talent coming to this beautiful city! With all of the amazing artists and concerts coming to this area, it might be a bit difficult to keep up. Fret not, here’s a rundown of coming shows to help you map out your concert schedule.
The South African alternative metal band Seether is set to play the Aztec Theatre when the “Poison the Parish” tour makes its stop in San Antonio on Saturday, August 19th. The “Poison the Parish” tour is in support of the band’s newest album of the same name, which was released in February of this year. Concert-goers can expect to hear Seether chart hits like “Remedy” and “Words and Weapons,” as well as the singles “Let You Down” and “Nothing Left” from the current album.
The opening acts include Letters from the Fire and Big Story. The doors open at 6:30 p.m. at the historic Aztec Theatre in downtown. Tickets are currently available online.
Two-time Grammy Award winner Ed Sheeran is slated to perform at the AT&T Center on August 22nd. You’d be wise to act fast if you’re planning to get tickets to this one. Superstar Ed Sheeran is on fire following the release of his now double platinum single “Shape of You.” This momentum is likely to lead to a quick sellout for this folk-pop singer-songwriter’s “Divide Tour.” You can expect to hear smash hits like “Castle on the Hill,” “Photograph,” and “Thinking Out Loud.”
The opening act for the tour is James Blunt, who is best known for his own single smash hit from 2003, “You’re Beautiful.” The doors open at 7 p.m. Tickets are not yet available for the San Antonio tour stop, but you can sign up to be notified once they become available.
Green Day’s “Revolution Radio Tour” rolls through San Antonio on September 9th. This is the fifth tour for the American punk rock band led by Billie Joe Armstrong. The five-time Grammy Award-winning band has scheduled 119 tour stops in support of its newest album, “Revolution Radio.” The AT&T Center will host Green Day front man Billie Joe and his bandmates, with doors opening at 7 p.m.
British rock band Catfish and the Bottlemen are the scheduled openers for the San Antonio stop. Tickets are currently available online.
